My pug is named Uma. She is a year and a half old. I work at a natural health dog food store and I got her at 8 weeks after her breeder came in one day looking for a home for her. She couldn't sell her because Uma has a heart defect that they say will significantly shorten her life span to about 4 years. I had lost my Rottweiler six months earlier and was not looking for a dog, but when I heard her story and saw her, I couldn't resist! Uma now comes with me everywhere I go, including work, and she has brought joy to so many people. Many customers have got a pug of their own to love, solely because of Uma. She makes me smile every day! I am happy to report that she is doing great and no one would ever suspect that she is "ill."
